
WR Numero Research and notable universities like UA&P School of Law and Governance, UP Department of Anthropology, and ADMU Chinese Studies hosted a webinar last June 15,2021.
The webinar included guest speakers CEO of WR Numero Research Robin Michael Garcia, Ph.D; Dr. Chester Cabalza, President and Founder of the International Development and Security Cooperation; and Dr. Sidney Christopher Bata the Director of the Chinese Studies Program of Ateneo de Manila University.
The webinar was titled “Probing the Levels of Filipino Political Support for China” and provided insight on the Filipino political support under the context of the pandemic and the ongoing territorial dispute in the West Philippine Sea and how it can affect the 2022 elections.
The webinar opened through WR Numero’s public opinion research on Filipino public opinion on China. Which showed that 82% of Filipinos perceive China as a threat to the Philippines, while a majority of the respondents believe that China should pay for the damages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar was attended by nearly a hundred participants from different areas of specialty such as people in business, the academe, foreign embassies, and government.
